TALASKE | SOUND THINKING™
PROJECTS

In well-run studios there is no such thing as a trivial detail. Technicians worry about the finest minutia, because microphones pick up sounds the human ear cannot hear and cameras are affected by vibrations that are invisible to the eye.

Recording and broadcast facilities require the acoustic equivalent of a "clean room" where the finest speck of duct is unacceptable. Recording studios must be free from unwanted vibration and noise. These environments should be acoustically neutral, lending no coloration to the sounds of the performance being recorded.

Our acousticians know how to design control rooms and small studios that are free from room modes, comb filtering or other unwanted effects. We create critical listening environments for masterful editing and mixing. We understand the need to control structural vibration in studios and soundstages to ensure stable video and rumble-free audio.

TALASKE audio and video consultants support recording organizations in many ways. We can assist with the determination of equipment needs, establish systems budgets and identify and arrange support spaces. Our consultants design and specify audio and video systems for competitive bidding and installation and/or work with the client and design team to determine the infrastructure requirements.

When performing arts events are recorded or broadcast, the challenge is to provide a vital connection with the listening or viewing audience. At TALASKE, we are committed to creating recording and broadcast environments capable of capturing all the intimacy and brilliance of live performances.
