Primarily intended as a home for the Pittsburgh Public Theatre, O'Reilly is an acoustically adjustable room that also accommodates chamber music performances. Acoustic and noise control design of the new facility helped create a 650-seat theatre and rehearsal/ performance halls that are an important element in Pittsburgh's cultural district.
